The Talent & Culture Analyst assists in planning and implementing programs that engage and retain our associates by delivering performance management, onboarding, learning and development, internal communications, and culture initiatives. This role works with team members and cross-functional partners to coordinate activities, handle logistics, support communication efforts, and monitor program effectiveness through data and feedback. They will complete routine tasks, work at a steady pace, and produce consistent results. The analyst plays a key role in implementing and administering processes such as performance reviews, onboarding experiences, learning program support, event coordination, and communication campaigns. The position also helps maintain internal systems, including the Learning Management System (LMS) and intranet, ensuring resources are up to date and accessible. This role will work to establish analytics best practices for measuring Talent & Culture program success. With strong attention to detail and a focus on consistency and experience, this role helps Talent & Culture initiatives thrive within the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Programs you’ll be supporting:

  • Engagement
    • Lead engagement, onboarding, and pulse survey from setup through analysis and reporting.
  • Performance and Talent Management
    • Coordinate and communicate performance management, goal setting, and supporting resources.
    • Respond to Talent & Culture inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and consistent messaging.
  • Learning & Development
    • Support onboarding and ongoing lifecycle enhancements.
    • Manage LMS and provide user support.
  • Events & Culture
    • Plan and execute events that foster connection, recognition, and inclusion.
  • Internal Communication and Intranet
    • Draft, develop, and maintain engaging, inclusive communications and intranet content for our associates.

Analytics & reporting you’ll be providing:

  • Analyze engagement data and maintain reporting frameworks to identify trends and guide stakeholder action plans.
  • Track participation and trends to optimize reviews, goals, and training programs within performance management process.
  • Incorporate feedback and partner with Marketing & Communications for consistent branding.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 1–2+ years of related professional experience in human resources, talent management, learning and development, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Learning Management Systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods at a desk or workstation and regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
  • Requires the ability to work Monday through Friday. The position includes in-person work requirements consistent with the hybrid policy located at Essex's corporate offices in Irvine. The hybrid policy is subject to change at Essex’s sole discretion.
  • Minimal travel may be required for occasional meetings, training, or conferences.

The pay range for this position is $81,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $81,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.

This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
