Analytical Scientist

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Development Scientist to join a pioneering biotech joint venture focused on accelerating cell therapies from bench to bedside. This role is based onsite in Houston, TX within the Texas Medical Center. The Scientist will play a critical part in developing and validating analytical methods to ensure identity, purity, and potency of cutting-edge cell therapy products. This position goes beyond routine testing—it requires technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support IND filings and technology transfer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assay Development & Execution: Design, execute, and troubleshoot analytical assays (e.g., flow cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA) to support cell therapy programs.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze experimental data, compile results, and present findings to internal teams. Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Protocol & SOP Management: Write and revise protocols for equipment and laboratory practices. Ensure adherence to GMP/GxP guidelines.
• Technology Transfer & Validation: Participate in assay qualification, validation, and transfer activities to manufacturing and QC teams.
• Lab Operations: Monitor inventory, maintain equipment calibration, and uphold safety and security procedures.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field
• 3+ years of industry experience , preferably in biotech or cell therapy
• Hands-on proficiency in:
• Mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques
• Nucleic acid extraction and quantitation
• Flow cytometry sample prep and analysis
• Handling viral vectors (retroviral/lentiviral)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work semi-independently
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
