Android Developer (automation testing Activities)

Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years in Android Development

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Android Developer with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.
Candidates with knowledge of automation tools or testing frameworks will be given preference, as this expertise will also be utilized in automation testing activities within the QA team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and user-friendly Android applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, QA, backend) to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best development practices.
• Work on integrating APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud-based services.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Support automation testing efforts by creating testable application modules and collaborating with QA automation engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of app performance, usability, and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack Components, and UI/UX standards.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with Git, Android Studio, and Gradle build tools.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and automation concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to mobile automation testing tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso, UI Automator).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deployment tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Firebase, Push Notifications, and App Performance Monitoring.
