Animal Care Apprentice

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, cleaning, monitoring, and maintaining animal habitats.
• Support trainers and caretakers during animal training sessions and guest interactions.
• Conduct routine health and behavior observations under the supervision of senior staff.
• Prepare animal diets, manage feeding schedules, and ensure proper food storage and hygiene.
• Maintain enclosures and presentation areas to meet safety and welfare standards.
• Participate in guest encounters and educational presentations, promoting awareness of animal welfare and environmental conservation.
• Monitor stock levels of feed, cleaning materials, and equipment, reporting any shortages promptly.
• Follow all operational safety and Life Support System (LSS) procedures to ensure animal and visitor well-being.
