Position Overview

Noble Veterinary Clinic is seeking a skilled and passionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary practice, with a strong background in assisting doctors during consultations and surgeries. You will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during consultations by restraining animals, taking vital signs, and preparing the examination room.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
• Assist during surgeries by monitoring anesthesia, passing instruments to the surgeon, and providing general support.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and medical histories.
• Educate pet owners on general pet care, post-operative care, and medication administration.
• Clean and sanitize examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as blood draws and urinalysis.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, medical terminology, and animal handling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and patient approach to handling animals and interacting with pet owners.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic medical records.
