Key Responsibilities:
- Train animals using positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques.
- Teach animals specific behaviors, commands, routines, or performance tasks.
- Develop personalized training plans based on each animal’s temperament and learning ability.
- Observe animal behavior to identify training needs, stress signals, or health concerns.
- Handle animals safely, ensuring the welfare and comfort of each animal.
- Prepare animals for public interactions, shows, demonstrations, or specific operational tasks.
- Maintain accurate training records and progress reports.
- Clean and maintain animal living environments to ensure safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, handlers, and caretakers to support animal health.
- Educate staff or clients on proper handling techniques and behavior expectations.
- Monitor and enforce safety guidelines during all animal interactions and training sessions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Animal Trainer, Handler, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior, psychology, and training methods.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent observation skills.
- Ability to safely work with a variety of animals (e.g., dogs, horses, exotic animals—optional depending on your requirement).
- Good physical stamina and ability to handle animals of different sizes and strengths.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
- Certification in animal training or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- High school diploma or relevant qualification; further training in animal behavior is a plus.
