A&P Mechanic

Overview
New Moon Aviation is seeking a skilled A&P Certified Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at the Bend Shop, located at the Bend Municipal Airport. This shop specializes in piston aircraft maintenance, providing top-tier service and ensuring safety and efficiency for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical expertise, proficiency with computer systems, a meticulous approach to maintenance, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on piston aircraft systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to airframes, engines, and other systems.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs, modifications, and fabrication.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure adherence to AS9100 standards.
• Work with sheet metal components, including fabrication and installation.
• Conduct soldering tasks for electrical components when required.

Requirements

• A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) Certification is required.
• PT6 Engine experience.
• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field; experience with piston aircraft preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment specific to aircraft maintenance.
• Familiarity with airframe systems, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with computer systems for documentation, diagnostics, and design tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100 is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet operational demands.
• Must pass a pre-employment and ongoing drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
