Apartment Maintenance Technician

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE: The Maintenance should have above average oral communication skills, be able to direct and motivate others, have a proven track record in hands-on apartment maintenance skills and must be able to demonstrate and follow established company philosophies, policies and procedures. Maintenance must exhibit loyalty, honesty, moral integrity and ethical conduct.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance must be able to implement, organize, direct and manage the overall maintenance programs of the property. Implement and supervise the ongoing preventative maintenance programs and be capable of training and developing subordinates. The Maintenance is responsible for completing work orders, make readies, property inspections, preventative maintenance, and complying with company safety procedures. Must have HVAC Universal certification.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance is required to be knowledgeable of competitive pricing of supplies. Maintain current records of units and building maintenance. Maintain daily communication with the Property Manager including but not limited to reports on work production and special problems dealing with the maintenance staff. The Maintenance must observe and following Fair Housing guidelines, reporting potential and/or real liabilities to the group manager, regional manager, technical director, Vice President and New Jersey. You must also report unusual occurrences and follow this with an incident report.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
