Atrium Health Women’s Care Urogynecology & Pelvic Surgery is seeking a non‑surgical, office‑based Advanced Practice Provider with a strong interest in comprehensive outpatient urogynecology. This APP role focuses on the evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder (OAB), stress urinary incontinence (SUI), urge urinary incontinence, and voiding dysfunction. The position emphasizes non surgical office‑based care.

Position Highlights

  • Full‑time 1.0 FTE
  • Monday–Friday schedule providing 35 hours / week of direct patient care
  • No nights, weekends, or call
  • Opportunity to work at one of our locations in Charlotte, Matthews, or Pineville

Role & Responsibilities

The APP in this position will focus on non‑surgical, office‑based urogynecology care, including the evaluation and management of patients with pelvic floor disorders such as pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, stress and urge urinary incontinence, and voiding dysfunction.

Office‑based procedures and therapies may include, but are not limited to:

  • PTNS (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation)
  • Eclipse device therapy
  • Pessary fitting, management, and follow‑up

The APP will have the opportunity to develop procedural competencies over time, aligned with patient needs and clinical expertise, to complement conservative and medical management strategies.

Qualifications

Physician Assistant

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program (Master’s Degree)
  • Certification by NCCPA
  • Active North Carolina PA license
  • Active DEA certification
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nurse Practitioner

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice
  • Active RN license and national board certification (ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, PNP‑AC preferred)
  • FNPs must hold RNFA certification
  • Active North Carolina NP license
  • Active DEA certification
  • Active BLS certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, and pull
  • Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds
  • Clear communication in English
  • Intact senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch) and fine motor skills
  • Ability to function effectively in high‑stress situations
