Job post summary

Lead the apparel and footwear business at the Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop. You’ll coach a high-performing sales team, elevate the customer experience, mentor the team with clientele building initiatives, and partner with store managers and buyers on-brand with Morton Golf standards.

Pay: $30–$40 per hour based on experience and results

Job description:

  • Lead daily operations for the men’s and ladies’ apparel, footwear and accessories departments with a relentless focus on customer experience and sales conversion.
  • Coach, train, and develop the apparel sales team: onboarding, weekly skills clinics, role-play sessions, and one-to-ones focused on add-on selling, outfitting, and service recovery.
  • Own customer relationship management (CRM) practices on the floor: list building, tagging/notes, post-visit follow-ups, appointment selling, and private shopping/clienteling events.
  • Build, manage, and grow personal and team client books in alignment with Morton Golf clienteling policies and standards.
  • Loss prevention champion: train team on LP awareness, fitting-room SOPs, and exception reporting to reduce shrink.
  • Service excellence: model Friendly D-D-D+1 Customer Service, handle escalations, authorize reasonable service recovery, and ensure consistent cashier/returns support.
  • Support hiring, performance feedback, recognition, and corrective coaching in partnership with store leadership and HR.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with sincerity, enthusiasm, and top-tier interpersonal communication.
  • Commit to ongoing product knowledge through vendor catalogs, tags/pamphlets, and Morton Golf training.

Qualifications:

  • Education – High School Diploma required; college coursework in retail, business, or fashion preferred.
  • Experience – 5–10 years in retail apparel/footwear, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role (key holder, department lead, or manager).
  • Proven success with clientele building and appointment selling; able to train others in these practices.
  • Comfortable with CRM workflows (e.g., segmenting, notes, follow-ups) and basic retail analytics/KPI dashboards.
  • Strong merchandising eye and ability to translate brand stories into full-look outfits that sell.
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive; able to set priorities and hold self and team accountable.
  • Golf industry familiarity is a plus, but passion for service and fashion fit is essential.
