Appellate Attorney

Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks an appellate attorney to join our Tampa office.

Responsibilities:

• Identify appellate issues and procedural approaches
• Prepare legal arguments and appellate briefs
• Collaborate with trial attorneys to preserve issues for appeal and develop litigation and appellate strategies
• Perform legal research
• Advise on and draft motions to narrow scope for future appeals.
• Present oral arguments

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar
• Must have excellent legal research skills and exceptional legal writing skills
• Experience as an appellate attorney or as a post-graduate judicial law clerk preferred
