The Application Analyst is responsible to support, configure, and maintain Laboratory Information Systems and Hospital Information system. The resource will have strong hands-on experience with HIS/LIS platforms, laboratory analyser integrations, and healthcare interoperability standards. This role works closely with laboratory staff, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless system functionality and reliable data exchange
- Configure, support, train and maintain the HIS and LIS to meet operational and clinical requirements
- Manage and support laboratory analyser integrations using HL7, FHIR, and ASTM protocols
- Troubleshoot interface, data flow, and system performance issues
- Collaborate with users to gather requirements and provide application support and training
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party interface teams for system enhancements and issue resolution
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and deployments
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with healthcare standards and policies
- Prepare technical documentation, interface specifications, and user guides
- Provide on-call or extended support as required for critical laboratory operations

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Strong experience with laboratory analyser integrations
- Hands-on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and ASTM messaging standards
- Solid understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic processes
- Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TrakCare Lab Enterprise
- Prior experience in hospital or clinical laboratory environments
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
Hands-on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and ASTM messaging standards
