Application & Design Engineer

Role:

The Application Engineer will be responsible for optimising and validating equipment selections for various projects, as well as collaborating closely with the sales and operations teams. The role will be reviewing tender specifications, proposing optimised equipment selections, and liaising with consultants and contractors to clarify technical aspects as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for optimising and validating the selected equipment for DX, VRF, and applied projects, reviewing tender specs, and proposing optimised selections.
• Work closely with the sales team to propose value engineering with cost-saving options and liaise with consultants/contractors when required to clarify technical aspects for specific projects.
• Validate quantity, scope, and configuration of the tender specifications.
• Prepare accurate technical selections and sales quotations.
• Prepare budgetary and final optimised commercial quotations.
• Review and prepare final submittals and purchase orders to be processed by sales ops teams.
• Prepare periodic management reports based on agreed KPIs.
• Produce order loss reports based on technical analysis.
• Provide technical inputs and USPs (unique selling propositions) to projects to ensure a “win” outcome.
• Provide inputs to the product team on product specifications and segment requirements or competition.
• Guide and train the sales team on FAQs and drive standardisation across the application process.
• Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to develop quick selection charts to improve operational efficiencies.
• Ensure the implementation of set deliverables to ensure a high turnaround for sales inquiries.

Qualifications:

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the HVAC industry.
• Fundamental knowledge of the HLC and design criteria.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE and UAE standards.
• Familiar with QCC, ESMA and ESTIDAMA.
• Familiar with VRF, DX, Chillers, and Airside system selection software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
