Position: Application Engineer (Inside Sales)
Location : Manesar
Role & Responsibilities :
CRM & Data Management
-
Maintain and update the CRM system (e.g. Salesforce.), ensuring clean, accurate, and timely data.
Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management :
-
Support forecasting processes: track renewal pipeline, align proposals and new deals, monitor “ease of closure” and likelihood of closing. Maintain visibility and accuracy of the sales pipeline.
Sales Process Optimization :
-
Review existing processes, suggest and implement improvements to improve efficiency (e.g. lead lifecycle, quote approvals, order fulfillment etc.)
Engineering / Technical Support :
-
Review customer technical requirements or drawings and liaise with engineering to validate feasibility.

Clarify product / solution specifications (materials, dimensions, performance, tolerances) with clients and internal engineering/design teams.

Assist in preparing BOMs (Bills of Materials), parts lists, technical datasheets, product configuration options.

Support product demos, sample orders or prototype development if needed.

Provide technical explanations or presentations to clients as required (either directly or through engineering team).

Ensure handover from engineering to production / manufacturing / implementation is smooth; track technical delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination :

Serve as point of contact between sales and engineering/design to ensure clarity on scope, deadlines, and requirements.

Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success / Service, IT, Operations etc. to align on processes, data sharing, contract issues, enabling inside/outside sales team.

Liaise with Marketing for material or collateral where technical specs are involved
Support Sales Team :

Assist with quoting and proposals, contracts, order processing, handling exceptions or escalations, and ensuring smooth handoffs.
Maintain Commercial & Market Insights :

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, or internal metrics to identify risks or opportunities. Offer suggestions for adjustments to targets, territory, or strategy.
Compliance and Quality Control :

Ensure adherence to company policies (pricing, discounting, contract standards), maintain accuracy of documentation, ensure SLAs are met.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with
3-5 Years
of Relevant Experience
-
Proven experience in inside sales
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable communicating over phone, emails.

Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools; ability to maintain accurate records and pipeline.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
-
Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and tasks.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, persistent, able to handle rejection
