Job Summary:

The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for understanding customer needs, evaluating technical requirements, and providing tailored engineering solutions through strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners. This role combines technical expertise, customer interaction, and project coordination to ensure that solutions move smoothly from concept to design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer & Requirements Analysis

• Evaluate customer needs by gathering detailed information about their products, applications, and facility requirements.
• Conduct site visits and technical assessments to fully understand operational challenges and opportunities.

2. Solution Development & Partner Coordination

• Identify the most suitable partners or suppliers based on a strong understanding of company capabilities and customer needs.
• Match customer requirements with the right technical solution to ensure optimal performance and value.

3. Testing & Technical Evaluation

• Perform hands-on testing, validation, and evaluation of customer samples.
• Provide technical recommendations based on data, test results, and engineering insights.

4. Crossfunctional Collaboration

• Work closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering groups to ensure full stakeholder alignment on proposed solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to ensure smooth project progression.

5. Proposal Development

• Prepare and deliver formal technical and commercial proposals.
• Clearly articulate the solution design, scope, performance expectations, and benefits.

6. Project Transition & Execution

• Transition approved solutions from concept/proposal to formal design and engineering stages.
• Support the manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure accurate execution of specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum & Mining Engineering OR Chemical Engineering only. These are the only acceptable majors for this role.
• Applicants from the following fields should NOT apply: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Skills (optional to include)

• Experience working with industrial energy systems or oil & gas equipment.
• Familiarity with proposal writing and bid preparation.
• Strong project coordination or customer-facing experience.
