Application Support Development Specialist (RTIS) Oil & Gas sector.(Aveva PI)

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Development Specialist to maintain the integrity, availability, and reliability of our Real-Time Information Systems (RTIS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, incident management, and interface development within the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform system health checks, implement remedial actions, and report on system integrity.
• Maintain system availability targets and resolve incidents to ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot system interfaces (OPC, API, etc.).
• Implement technology solutions, including enhancements and security vulnerability fixes.
• Support testing phases (UAT, Regression) for system changes and new projects.
• Develop documentation and provide training/coaching to end-users and junior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system and data integrity.
  
  

Education

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  
  

Required Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in IT and Plant Information Systems / MES / RTIS within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven Aveva PI Engineering Services experience on at least three Oil & Gas projects in the last five years.
• Strong development experience with the latest versions of Aveva PI.
• Hands-on experience with OPC, custom API interfaces, and Batch File interfaces.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PI-to-PI, PI-SAP interfaces, and tools like AF SDK, PI Vision, and PI WebAPI.
• Familiarity with Pipeline Management Systems, Electronic Permit to Work, or Operator Round automation systems.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project stakeholders and produce clear, concise reports in English.
