Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer to provide expert technical support and ensure the smooth operation of our applications. The ideal candidate will be proactive in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets promptly by prioritizing, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform root-cause analysis by investigating errors and debugging systems; collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Support database operations using SQL and RDBMS platforms such as Oracle and SQL Server, including writing queries and optimizing performance.
• Troubleshoot HTTP/HTTPS communication issues by analyzing status codes (1xx–5xx) and resolving client-server communication problems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools to enhance operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain clear documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams—including developers, system administrators, and vendors—for issue escalation and deployments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in application support and incident management.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and experience troubleshooting related issues.
• Skilled in scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and time management skills.
• Must be fluent in Arabic and English to facilitate clear and effective communication with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage escalations effectively.
• Strong documentation skills to create comprehensive knowledge base materials.
• Must be willing to work onsite in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
