***This is a hybrid position, 2 days per week in our Anaheim CA office location, employees must live within commutable distance to Anaheim, CA. Subject to change based on work load.***

Position Overview:

Extron has a new opportunity in our Product Development department for an Applications Engineer. The Product Development team works closely with our engineering, quality assurance, and marketing teams to guide products from conception to launch. As an Applications Engineer within our Product Development team, you help bridge the technical and business worlds as you work on solutions for the professional audio-visual industry. You will be responsible for helping with the conceptualization and gathering of requirements for new products and solutions for use in meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and learning environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Within an R&D type environment, test prototypes, evaluate new technologies and perform competitive product analysis.
• Assist with creating detailed documentation of new products and support issues.
• Product categories will include video/audio switching, wireless video, DSP audio, control, and video conferencing solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering block diagrams.
• Basic networking fundamentals.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
• Industry knowledge along with solid engineering experience is a plus.

Salary range: $70,000 to $72,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
