AR Reconciliation - ABAP Developer-Analyst

As an AR Reconciliation - ABAP Developer at Accenture, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom ABAP programs, interfaces, and enhancements to enable automated and accurate Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliation between SAP and external retail/payment systems. You will work closely with functional teams, integration analysts, and business users to ensure seamless data exchange, reconciliation accuracy, and compliance with performance and security standards. This role requires technical expertise in ABAP development, integration technologies, and a strong focus on reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and Customization:

• Design and develop ABAP interfaces, reports, and enhancements to support AR reconciliation processes, including bank statements, POS/e-commerce settlements, and payment gateways.

• Build and optimize programs using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and file-based integrations for seamless data exchange.

2. Data Mapping and Validation:

• Support data mapping, transformation logic, and validation routines to ensure reconciliation accuracy and reliability.

• Collaborate with functional teams to align data mapping and transformation requirements with business needs.

3. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

• Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors, working closely with functional teams and business users to minimize disruptions.

• Provide technical support for reconciliation-related developments post-implementation.

4. Testing and Cutover Support:

• Assist in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and cutover activities by providing technical fixes and validating outputs.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of reconciliation processes through rigorous testing and validation.

5. Documentation and Handover:

• Prepare technical documentation, including mapping specifications, configuration guides, and support handover materials.

• Ensure all documentation is clear, comprehensive, and up to date.

6. Compliance and Optimization:

• Ensure compliance with performance, security, and audit requirements in all reconciliation-related developments.

• Optimize ABAP solutions to improve performance and scalability for large-scale reconciliation scenarios.

7. Collaboration and Best Practices:

• Collaborate with integration analysts and architects to align developments with overall design and best practices.

• Actively contribute to team discussions and propose innovative solutions to improve reconciliation processes.

Technical Expertise:

• 1-2 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a focus on AR reconciliation and integration processes.

• Proficiency in developing and optimizing ABAP programs, including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and file-based integrations.

• Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation logic, and validation routines for reconciliation processes.

• Experience in testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and providing technical fixes during cutover activities.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address integration and reconciliation challenges.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with bank statements, POS/e-commerce settlements, and payment gateway integration.

• Knowledge of performance optimization and handling large-scale data processing in reconciliation scenarios.

• SAP certifications in ABAP or integration technologies are a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
