SAP PMR Technical Developer

As a PMR Developer at Accenture, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the technical components that enable effective promotion planning and execution within SAP Promotion Management for Retail (PMR). Working closely with technical and functional leads, you will develop custom objects, integrations, and enhancements to support retail promotion scenarios. This role requires expertise in ABAP development, SAP integration, and a strong understanding of retail promotion processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and Customization:

• Develop ABAP programs, enhancements, BAdIs, and user exits to extend the functionality of SAP PMR.
• Build and maintain interfaces and data flows between PMR, SAP CAR, POS, SD, and MM to ensure seamless integration.
• Implement custom developments to support unique retail promotion scenarios and business requirements.

2. Testing and Debugging:

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution during System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and cutover cycles.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of promotions and pricing through thorough testing and validation.

3. Data Validation and Reconciliation:

• Assist in data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of promotions, pricing, and related data.

4. Documentation and Standards:

• Prepare technical documentation and code specifications for delivered solutions to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Ensure all developments adhere to SAP best practices, coding standards, and performance guidelines.

5. Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution for custom developments in SAP PMR.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of technical solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• 4-6 years of experience in SAP development, with a focus on ABAP programming and SAP PMR.
• Proficiency in developing enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, and custom objects within SAP.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP PMR, CAR, POS, SD, and MM modules.
• Experience in unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution during project lifecycles.
• Familiarity with SAP best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with functional and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certifications in ABAP, PMR, or related modules are highly desirable.
• Experience in retail environments and understanding of promotion planning and execution processes.
• Familiarity with data validation and reconciliation techniques in SAP.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
