AR Specialist in Medical Billing

The AR Specialist in Medical Billing is responsible for managing and optimizing the revenue cycle by ensuring timely collection of outstanding claims from insurance companies and patients. This role involves analyzing accounts, resolving billing issues, following up on unpaid claims, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and manage outstanding accounts receivable balances
• Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or denied claims
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and claim rejections
• Submit corrected claims and appeals as necessary
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately in the billing system
• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment plans
• Verify insurance information and ensure accurate claim submission
• Maintain detailed documentation of all account activity
• Collaborate with billing, coding, and front-office teams to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims, EOBs, and denial management
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
• Experience with medical billing software and EMR systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
