Job Description:
Abu Alnaga Contracting, a leading company in the construction and contracting industry, is seeking a skilled Arab Accounts Manager with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing financial operations for contracting projects. As part of our team, you will oversee financial processes, ensure compliance, and support the successful financial management of large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management for Projects: Oversee job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project billing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project budgets and timelines.
- Project Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for construction projects, including cost tracking, progress billing, and profit margins.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of project-specific budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights to help project managers stay within budget and on schedule.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and costs, ensuring financial operations align with project scope and objectives. Identify and address any discrepancies or potential financial risks.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure all financial processes comply with industry regulations and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure accurate financial documentation for audits.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure the integrity and security of financial data, particularly regarding project-related expenditures and revenue.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support junior accounting staff, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of financial data and fostering a collaborative, efficient work environment.
- Management Reporting: Provide senior management with regular updates on the financial status of ongoing projects, highlighting key financial metrics and potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role within the contracting or construction industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of job costing, project-based financial management, and cost control within the construction or contracting sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Procore, or other industry-specific tools) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid knowledge of construction-specific financial regulations, contract management, and project lifecycle financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to managing and mentoring accounting teams.
