Arabic cook

Job Purpose

To prepare and present authentic Arabic dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of the Middle East, enhancing LalQila Restaurant’s menu and delivering a memorable dining experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide range of Arabic dishes including mezze, grills, rice specialties, breads, and desserts
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across all Arabic menu items
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation
• Monitor inventory of Arabic ingredients and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop seasonal Arabic specials and menu innovations
• Train junior kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques and presentation styles
• Ensure timely preparation and service during peak hours
• Adhere to all restaurant policies, health regulations, and HACCP standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Arabic Cook in a reputable restaurant or hotel
• Deep knowledge of traditional Arabic recipes, spices, and cooking methods
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Basic communication skills in English or Arabic
• Certification in food safety and hygiene is preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Culinary training or certification in Arabic cuisine is an advantage
