Architect Lead

Job Summary:

The Architect Lead will oversee architectural design and execution across projects, ensuring design excellence, quality, and timely delivery. The role requires strong leadership in managing a team of architects/designers, coordinating with clients and vendors, and conducting site visits to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Coordination:
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients to understand requirements and ensure expectations are met.
• Present design concepts, progress updates, and final deliverables.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of architects, designers, and draftsmen.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure design output aligns with project goals.
• Vendor & Consultant Management:
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors for materials, services, and technical support.
• Review vendor drawings, samples, and quotations for compliance with design intent.
• Design & Documentation:
• Oversee preparation of design drawings, working drawings, and detailed documentation.
• Ensure adherence to design standards, building codes, and project specifications.
• Site Coordination:
• Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve design/site issues.
• Ensure execution matches approved design and quality standards.
• Project Management:
• Assist in project planning, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Report progress, challenges, and solutions to management regularly.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, codes, and construction practices.
• Excellent client-handling and communication skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software.
• Strong vendor negotiation and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making at both design and site levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch).
• 8–12 years of experience in architecture, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing clients, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in handling both design office work and site coordination.
