Summary:

Lochwood Lozier is a third -generation, high-end custom home builder with a well-known reputation for service and quality. We are seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join our tightknit, collaborative team. This individual will need to have experience in both architectural design and interior rendering and design. We’re seeking someone who can bring our clients’ visions to life—balancing form and function with a creative, solution-oriented mindset. A passion for custom homes, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude are essential. This position brings enormous potential for growth, mentorship and opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their design goals and lifestyle needs
  • Work alongside our in-house architects to create a unified, comprehensive design approach
  • Work alongside our AIA Lead Architect to help deliver projects and deliverables quickly and to the highest standard of quality.
  • Develop design concepts, detailed working drawings, and presentation materials
  • Create accurate design drawings and interior renderings using software such as Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, etc.
  • Specify and source materials that are practical, available, and aligned with the design vision
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and schedules during the preconstruction phase
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any design or construction issues
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records throughout all project phases

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred; Associate with strong experience considered)
  • Demonstrated experience in architectural design and residential project management
  • Proficiency in Revit and Sketchup. (Lumion is a plus)
  • Excellent multitasking and project prioritization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Eye for aesthetics and a strong grasp of functionality and usability
  • Knowledge of current building codes, regulations, and construction processes
  • Familiarity with current design trends, materials, and styles
  • Ability to read plans and perform accurate material take-offs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.50 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
