Architectural Designer

RMW architecture & interiors, is an innovative, award-winning architecture and interior design firm, with a collaborative culture. Our mission is to design engaging workplaces for great companies. We are currently experiencing exciting growth and seeking an architecture Designer 1 to play a pivotal role in our San Francisco studio.

Role:

The Designer 1 designs and prepares documents for a range of project types across several phases including programming, survey and field verification, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration.

The Designer 1 role works collaboratively with other roles in the office and is mentored by designers and architects to enable the responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Supports in the creation of design concepts and documentation
• Possesses problem solving skills with a strong sense of design, including form, color and materials
• Communicates with Project Manager, Job Captain and other team members on program, design and schedule for timely and appropriate design development
• Develops 3D studies, models, drawing and renderings with oversight
• Develops presentation techniques that communicate the design concept(s)
• Gains an understanding of building codes and technical knowledge
• Contributes to design and construction documents
• Supports the selection of materials, finish, furniture and building systems

Qualifications:

• Professional degree or recognized equivalent
• 0 to 4 years of relevant experience
• Design aptitude
• Technical aptitude
• Introductory knowledge: Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite

Salary range $65,000 – $75,000/ per year.
