Job Title: Area Business Manager – Mumbai

Department: Sales & Marketing

Segment: Pharma – Baby & Mother Care

Location: Mumbai (All Zones)

Reporting To: Sales & Marketing Head


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership
  • Drive revenue growth across the Mumbai region for baby and mother care products.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Ensure product penetration and market share expansion across Derma, Pediatrics, and Gynic segments .
  1. Team Management
  • Lead and manage a team of 10+ Territory Business Managers .
  • Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and capability-building sessions.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and ensure team alignment with business goals.
  1. Customer Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with pediatricians, gynecologists, dermatologists, hospitals, and pharmacies.
  • Develop and nurture Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support brand advocacy.
  • Ensure effective customer engagement strategies and feedback mechanisms.
  1. Marketing Execution
  • Implement marketing campaigns, CMEs, and awareness programs.
  • Monitor ROI of promotional activities and optimize execution.
  1. Market Intelligence
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Provide actionable insights to the marketing and product teams.
  1. Operational Excellence
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, distributor coordination, and timely collections.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Science/Pharmacy; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharma sales, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong exposure to baby and mother care , derma , pediatrics , and gynic product lines is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and driving regional sales.
