About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Coordinator to oversee scheduled activities during nuclear outages at UAE nuclear power plant, which occur three times per year. This role requires specialization in either Electrical/I&C (Instrumentation & Control) or Mechanical/Valves . The Area Coordinator ensures all maintenance, operational, and outage-related tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and within the planned schedule, with particular focus on critical and near-critical path activities. Outside of outage periods, the role will support project management activities in the back office and may extend to other industrial projects across the Middle East and Europe.


Key Responsibilities

Pre-Outage Phase

• Follow up on readiness and challenge teams to ensure full preparation for upcoming outages

• Coordinate logistics related to Electrical/I&C or Mechanical/Valves activities

• Ensure all required tools, materials, and resources are available and ready ahead of outage mobilization


Outage Period

• Oversee scheduled tasks within the defined scope using the 3-day look-ahead schedule

• Coordinate teams of supervisors and technicians to ensure timely start and completion of activities

• Act as the primary client-contractor interface for progress and critical-path discussions

• Monitor and report progress, ensuring adherence to milestones

• Manage task prioritization during shifts to address challenges or delays

• Troubleshoot technical and logistical issues, escalating when necessary

• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements


Non-Outage Period

• Support the back office with project planning and coordination for nuclear and other industrial projects

• Contribute to process improvements based on lessons learned from previous outages

• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and evaluations related to the specialized area

• Assist in preparing teams and resources for future outages


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Specialization in Electrical/I&C or Mechanical/Valves, with proven experience in outage coordination or similar roles in nuclear or high-risk industries

• Strong knowledge of outage schedules, critical path management, and maintenance processes

• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with clients and internal stakeholders

• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance in nuclear or industrial environments

• Willingness to support other industrial projects across the Middle East and Europe
