Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Area Director of Finance to lead financial operations across multiple locations within our organization. Duties
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Manage risk analysis processes to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements across all jurisdictions, including governmental accounting standards and ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines.
- Supervise treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment management, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity.
- Conduct detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide leadership in financial report writing and interpretation to support executive decision-making; communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Drive business development efforts by analyzing financial data to identify growth opportunities while maintaining strict cost control measures.
- Lead a team of finance professionals by fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles within diverse sectors such as non-profit organizations, government agencies, or corporate environments.
- Extensive knowledge of IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS, GAAP, and technical accounting principles including ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate finance, cost accounting, risk analysis, and fiscal management.
- Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, investment management, and cost control strategies.
- Experience managing large-scale financial operations with proficiency in financial software systems; skilled in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives forward.
- Familiarity with compliance management related to governmental regulations and reporting standards for non-profit or public sector entities.
