Armed Security Officer

Overview:
The Armed Security Officer provides first response to emergencies, enforces federal law and assimilated state law, and conducts mobile patrols to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and government assets.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide access control and traffic control, ensuring safe movement throughout the facility and conducting both walking and motorized armed security patrols.
  • Perform personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, including package and parcel inspections, in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required to meet operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall security operations
Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), or
  • Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), or
  • Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, or successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to successfully meet all Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer
  • Completion and passing of the MMPI psychological assessment
