The Art Director leads the visual and aesthetic development of immersive experiences, exhibitions, and cultural environments.
Balancing creative vision with technical precision, this role ensures that every visual element — scenic, graphic, digital, or motion-based — contributes to a cohesive and emotionally resonant experience.
The Art Director works closely with the Creative Director and multidisciplinary design teams to define, protect, and evolve the project’s visual language from concept through delivery and into fabrication.
Responsibilities:

Define and maintain the overall visual identity and art direction of immersive, themed park projects.

Oversee visual content sub-roles — including digital media, motion, graphic communication, and art design — ensuring that every output aligns with the established visual language and production standards.

Translate story and experience principles into cohesive visual languages across graphic, and digital design.

Lead multidisciplinary creative teams (2D, 3D, motion, and digital) from concept to production.

Collaborate with architectural, technical, and production teams to align creative ambition with buildability and budget.

Oversee design packages, visual assets, and presentation materials for reviews and fabrication.

Mentor junior designers and support cross-team alignment on creative intent.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, New Media, Fine Arts, Design, or related creative field.

8+ years of experience in art direction, visual design, or creative leadership for immersive experiences, themed entertainment, exhibitions, or cultural environments.

Proven experience leading visual development from concept through delivery, including coordination with technical and production teams.
Technical Competencies:

Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with 3D tools (SketchUp, C4D or similar).

Strong understanding of file formats, deliverable hierarchies, and technical handover processes (2D, 3D, video, and digital media).

Experience defining and reviewing master deliverables, including scenic, graphic, motion, and fabrication packages.

Knowledge of color management, resolution standards, and media pipeline specifications.

Familiarity with file management systems, naming conventions, and quality control for large-scale projects.

Understanding of lighting, projection, and integrated media within spatial environments.
