The Marketing team at Target in India dedicated to bringing one of the world's most beloved and recognizable brands to life in India. Whether through design, marketing or brand work, we are the driving force behind delivering Target's dynamic, inventive and unmistakable storytelling to its audience.
A role with Target in India Marketing is an opportunity to work with some of the best in the business for marketing, strategy, media & digital and you'd lead work that connects to millions of guests. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through work that's partner-centric, on brand, category relevant and channel focused.
As an Art Director in the Enterprise Creative team, you will help concept, art/photo direct, and design creative work for Target. You will think conceptually, strategically, and work effectively helping develop world-class creative across different platforms—including video, broadcast, print, digital, social media, experiential, in-store, target.com, e-mail, promotions, and activations.
Concept, art/photo direct, and design creative work across multiple channels and platforms
Collaborate to execute projects by ideating, photo art directing, designing, and helping manage production details
Develop visually compelling creative that addresses specific marketing communication goals and business objectives
Maintain consistency with Target's brand voice, visual identity, and design standards across all touchpoints
Translate creative briefs and strategic direction into compelling visual concepts and executions
Co-create with associate creative directors, copywriters, strategists, planners, designers, and cross-functional partners
Champion innovative thinking and contribute fresh ideas to creative development
Work effectively within a team environment to deliver high-quality creative solutions
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the conceptual development of campaigns
Build and maintain productive working relationships across Marketing, Communications, and other business teams within Target in India
Stay current with the latest retail, style (fashion, home, beauty, décor), food & beverage, cultural, art, graphic, and tech trends and demonstrate application to projects
Continuously reference competitive work and design systems to apply learnings into projects
Deepen your understanding of the Target brand, the Target experience, and our guest
Apply trend insights and competitive intelligence to enhance creative output
Support the Target brand in helping all families discover the joy of everyday life
Execute designs with strong attention to detail and technical precision
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) proficiently to create high-quality deliverables
Demonstrate competency in print, digital, and social media design and production
Work with industry-standard design tools to enhance productivity and creative output
Adapt designs for multiple platforms while maintaining brand integrity and visual consistency
Help manage production details and ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
Multi-task effectively across multiple projects and priorities
Respond to feedback and iterate on creative work efficiently
Support the team in meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
Four-year degree in design or equivalent educational qualification
5+ years of professional experience in art direction or relevant creative roles
Experience working on multichannel marketing projects
A strong creative portfolio demonstrating Target brand expectations and creative capabilities
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition
Basic to intermediate print, digital, and social media skills
Good conceptual thinking and visual storytelling abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Effective communication skills and ability to present creative work
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Desire and ability to learn quickly, self-starter and motivated
Ability to establish rapport with peers and work collaboratively
Adaptable and open to feedback and creative direction
Enthusiastic about staying current with design trends and industry developments
Passionate about great design and the Target brand
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
