Art Teacher

Job Summary

The Art Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging art lessons that develop students’ artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation of visual arts. The role includes managing art supplies, organizing exhibitions, and integrating art into the overall learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver art lessons according to the school curriculum for assigned grade levels.
• Teach techniques in drawing, painting, sketching, and other art forms.
• Encourage creativity, originality, and self-expression among students.
• Prepare and maintain lesson plans, teaching aids, and visual materials.
• Organize and display students’ artwork in classrooms and school exhibitions.
• Assess students’ progress through assignments, projects, and art portfolios.
• Maintain a safe and clean art studio environment with proper use of materials.
• Introduce students to art history, different styles, and famous artists.
• Plan and assist in school events, competitions, and art-related activities.
• Stay updated with modern art techniques and integrate digital tools where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or related field (B.Ed. preferred).
• Experience: 1–3 years teaching experience in art (school or art institute).
• Skills:
• Proficiency in various art techniques and media.
• Strong creative and instructional abilities.
• Classroom management and communication skills.
