Artist's Assistant and Outreach Support

Job Overview

A young woman artist in Potomac, MD is seeking a creative part time coach to assist in supporting her art business. Qualified candidates must have experience in graphic and website design, and must be experienced and willing to outreach to community events, markets, artisan fairs and shops with the intent to support the artist to sell her work.

The young woman is looking for someone who has experience with outreach to various markets, and an ability to gather resources and help connect individuals with her art business in person or online. Assist this woman to connect to local associations, art galleries, shops and organizations to network with other artists, display and sell her work. Taking initiative with outreach to promote the artists business is essential, the employer is looking to hire someone who is comfortable with going out and networking with the community to get new opportunities. Direct connections to the art community and experience marketing, social media marketing and a graphic design background are required for this position. If you have experience promoting artists, marketing, using Etsy, Printful, Redbubble and other platforms, designing websites and using all applicable social media ~ this is a fantastic position for you.

Flexibility with some medical needs that the woman experiences, including seizures, is essential (breaks, time off, etc.). This part-time position is suitable for a strong established artist! Please note that this position involves working in an environment with cats and dogs. Must be local to Potomac, Maryland.

Job Details:

• Part-time
• $27.00/hour
• Located in Potomac, MD
• Work days will be Tuesday and Thursday (both flexible between 9am-9pm)
• Weekend hours may vary depending on attending Craft fairs/farmers markets, etc.
• Weekend hours will not exceed 12 hours

Job Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Clear background check
• Smoking/vaping is prohibited while working
• Clean driving record
• Safe vehicle in driving conditions
