About the Role

We’re seeking a warm, creative, and energetic Arts & Crafts Assistant to help bring vibrant, engaging craft experiences to our children each day. This role is perfect for someone who loves making things, enjoys working with young children, and thrives in a playful, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, prepping, and leading age-appropriate arts and crafts activities.
• Set up materials and workspaces before activities and help tidy and sanitize afterward.
• Support children as they explore materials, helping them create confidently and safely.
• Keep craft supplies organized and assist with inventory and restocking.
• Maintain a joyful, safe, and creative atmosphere in alignment with Barefoot Creative Play & DayCare’s values.
• Collaborate with staff to introduce new projects, seasonal crafts, and creative experiences.
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and family engagement activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a daycare, camp, or similar setting (preferred).
• A passion for arts, crafts, and hands-on creativity.
• Friendly, patient, and nurturing personality.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Able to adapt to a lively, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with common craft supplies and safe material handling.
