Assistant Accountant (Female) Overall Responsibility:
To manage a significant portion of the finance department's operational activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires a good understanding of accounting principles and the ability to handle more complex tasks and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities (Based on the Activity Manual): All responsibilities listed for the Account Officer, with potentially less direct supervision on routine tasks. Categorizing transactions appropriately in the general ledger (assets, liabilities, revenue, expense, capital). Maintaining payment records separately each divisional account. Recording of expense summaries as received against prepayments in financials. Scheduling and authorizing payments (e.g., bank transfers, cheques) under supervision. Ensuring that all monthly bills (rent, utilities, etc.) are paid. Verifying the withdrawal and deposit sides of bank statements with the bank book on a weekly basis and updating the bank book. Verifying any bank charges and updating the bank book. Updating debt financing loan accounts for due payments and auto-debits as provided. Maintaining records of all bank statements. Updating daily payment schedule as provided and releasing payments accordingly after approval. Recording petty cash expenses in relevant accounts and updating financials. Providing daily financial summaries and updates to the manager. Coordinate and oversee all necessary import/export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin, customs declarations, and import licenses. Maintain up-to-date records of all import activities for future reference, audits, and legal compliance Monthly payroll update from attendance summaries. Obtaining approval for salary transfers via bank and cash disbursements. Submitting social security and EOBI payables to the government treasury. Keep record of all activities performed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role with increasing responsibility.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Experience working with financial software/ERP systems like Dot Net, QB, Telly
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month
