Vigor Accounting & Taxation LLC is a leading firm specializing in accounting, taxation, and business advisory services. We are currently seeking an accounting assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be crucial in supporting the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Recording: Assist in recording day-to-day financial transactions and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Support in processing invoices, managing accounts payable, and coordinating with clients for accounts receivable follow-ups.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Assist with the reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry for financial transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, ensuring that receipts and documentation are properly filed and compliant with company policies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
  • VAT Compliance: Support in preparing and reviewing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Payroll Assistance: Assist in the preparation of payroll data, ensuring accurate calculations and timely disbursement of employee salaries.
  • Document Management: Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring that all records are easily accessible for audits and tax filings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study
  • 0-1 years of experience working in Accounting UAE only
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance in the UAE is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
