Assistant Accountant cum Store Keeper

Job Title:

The Accountant cum Store Keeper is responsible for managing financial records while also overseeing inventory and store operations. This role ensures accurate accounting, proper stock management, and smooth coordination between finance and warehouse/store functions.

Key Responsibilities:Accounting Duties:

  • Maintain day-to-day financial transactions (purchases, sales, receipts, payments)
  • Prepare and update ledgers, journals, and financial statements
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  • Prepare invoices and follow up on payments

Store Keeping Duties:

  • Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials
  • Issue materials as per company procedures
  • Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory checks
  • Maintain proper storage and labelling of goods
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
  • Coordinate with procurement for stock replenishment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in accounting and/or store keeping
  • Knowledge of accounting software Tally
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
