Job Description – Accountant (Cargo Warehouse)Position: Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in cargo warehouse operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in accounting software and Smart Cargo software, with the ability to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and record daily financial transactions related to cargo and warehouse operations.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers in coordination with warehouse and operations teams.
• Reconcile accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely settlements with vendors, customers, and partners.
• Generate monthly financial reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and record freight charges, customs expenses, handling costs, and warehouse overheads.
• Maintain and update accounting entries in accounting software and Smart Cargo software.
• Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and payroll assistance.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and financial reporting standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams (operations, logistics, warehouse) to ensure financial accuracy in cargo movement.
• Assist in annual audits and prepare necessary financial documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in a cargo warehouse / logistics / freight forwarding industry).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, ERP systems).
• Strong working knowledge of Smart Cargo software (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of warehouse cost structures, freight billing, and cargo operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Pay: Rs55,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
