Job Summary
The Accounts Manager – MIS Reporting will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting accurate Management Information System (MIS) reports to support management decision-making. The role requires strong coordination with project, finance, and commercial teams to ensure timely financial reporting, cost control, and performance analysis across construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for management and senior leadership.
- Develop and analyze project-wise financial reports, including cost vs budget, revenue, margin, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, and Commercial teams to gather project financial data.
- Monitor project costs, WIP, accruals, and provisions.
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
- Prepare management dashboards covering profitability, cost control, and operational KPIs.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data between general ledger, project accounts, and MIS reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze overheads, cost allocations, and project expenses.
- Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Assist with audit requirements and management reviews.
- Continuously improve MIS formats, reporting tools, and automation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Professional certification (CA / ACCA / CMA / CPA) – preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and MIS reporting, with construction or contracting company experience.
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting and construction costing.
- Experience in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, Tally, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
