The Department of Architecture and City Design at KFUPM invites applications for new faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor). Successful applicants must hold a relevant Ph.D. degree with an outstanding record of achievements, impactful research, and teaching in the following disciplines:

• Graphic Communication (Manual illustration, freehand sketching and analogue graphic representations)
• Architectural Design
• The History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture
• Urban Design
• Architectural visualization
• Urban digital twin
• BIM and urban planning
• Real estate and digital transformation
• Urban planning & city design
• Urban system modeling and simulation
• Smart mobility modes & systems
• Data-driven urban analysis (urban big data analytics using cutting edge AI technologies)
• Urban management strategies for smart cities
• Urban sensing and urban computing
• Developing entrepreneurial, livable, high-performance cities

• Two-year renewable contract.

Applicant must have a Ph.D. degree (or near completion) in the relevant field from an internationally recognized university with a strong academic background. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate potential in designing and teaching courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, and have the ability to produce and publish high quality research. Selection will be based on potential for publications in reputable journals. For the associate and full professor ranks, a proven record of publications in reputable journals is further required.
