Come join the General and Special Prosecution team of the SC Attorney General’s Office! Prosecutors get to travel throughout the state and handle a variety of cases; everything from drug cases to murders, hit and runs to human trafficking. You’ll have the opportunity to work with various law enforcement agencies, different defense bars, and appear before judges across the state. Performs under limited supervision legal work for the State, its subdivisions, and officials. Primarily assigned to the General and Special Prosecution Unit of the Criminal Division, serving as an Assistant Attorney General.Juris Doctorate Degree and ten or more years of practicing experience, preferably in a Public Defender's or Solicitor's Office or equivalent Criminal Prosecution/Defence experience.
Necessary Requirements: Must be a member and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar. Must satisfy Rule 403 requirements
Additional Requirements:
DRUG SCREENING, CREDIT CHECKS, DELINQUENT TAX CHECKS, AND SLED BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED.
