Assistant Baker

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Assistant Baker to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will support daily baking operations, ensure product quality, and maintain hygiene and food safety standards while working closely with the Head Baker.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily preparation and baking of breads, pastries, cakes, and baked goods
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and baking schedules accurately
• Prepare doughs, fillings, creams, and toppings as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and tools
• Ensure food safety standards (HACCP / hygiene practices) are followed at all times
• Support inventory handling and proper storage of ingredients
• Help with opening/closing duties and production planning
• Work efficiently during peak hours and meet production deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Baker or Bakery Helper (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work early shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Physically fit to stand for long hours and handle baking equipment
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
