Oregon State Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Assistant Branch Manager to join our Branch Services team. In this role, you’ll assist in planning, organizing, and directing branch operations while ensuring exceptional member service and compliance with credit union standards. You’ll provide leadership to staff, support the Branch Manager, and help create a positive, productive environment.
As an Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll oversee daily branch activities, consult with members to identify financial solutions, and manage supervisory responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and performance reviews. You’ll also play a key role in promoting the credit union movement through advocacy and community engagement.
What you will need to be successful:Branch Operations & Leadership:- Experience managing day-to-day branch operations, including cash handling, audits, and security controls.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, set performance expectations, and foster professional growth.
Member Service & Financial Expertise:- Strong knowledge of credit union products and services, lending practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to consult with members and provide solutions that align with their financial goals.
Communication & Problem-Solving Skills:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of skill in complex problem solving and conflict resolution.
Experience & Education:- Minimum of two years financial industry experience; one year of lending experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience or equivalent peer mentorship.
- High school diploma or GED required; computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel) preferred.
