About the Role:

This position is ideal for someone eager to gain well-rounded experience in the beauty industry, as it combines marketing, product development, and extensive cross-functional collaboration. The ABM would support primarily their direct manager and track their own projects, but would also support the senior manager with holistic, integrated marketing and development functions.

Responsibilities:

Product Development: Partner with the manager and senior manager to brainstorm and ideate new product concepts, contributing to portfolio expansion. The ABM will own approximately 30% of category product development. Responsibilities include:

  • Market Research on future beauty trends & top products with competitors.
  • Execute external briefs for vendor submissions.
  • Product code and material request & tracking.
  • Design inspiration and CAD request for new product developments.
  • Track process of product development from product idea to the purchasing order stage.
  • Ensure licensor product approvals or feedback in collaboration with the creative team.
  • Write all product information for packaging and review with regulatory.
  • Write product claims and review with regulatory.
  • Track product stability and compatibility testing with regulatory.
  • Partner with project manager to ensure launches are meeting timeline milestones.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on development samples and formulas.
  • Update Product development tracker as new information is provided with cost, price, master and unit cartons, final legal name, delivery date, etc.
  • Create product 1-sliders for retailer pitches and integrated marketing decks.
  • Collaborate with multiple vendors on product ideation.

Integrated Marketing: Assist in campaign strategy by developing activation ideas, photography mood boards, and messaging concepts.

  • Market research to understand top brand’s activations and campaigns.
  • Mood board development for photography.
  • Product messaging for ABM’s specific product launches.
  • Activation ideas such as events, collaborations, retail activations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing and/or management.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in marketing and/or product development fields.
  • Experienced with Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • Project management skills.
  • Marketing Research Experience.
  • Must be comfortable presenting.
  • Must have strong social and collaborative skills.

Salary Range: $65-$85K per year, depending on experience.
