Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Design Manager to support the design management activities for ROJA/Package 1 [Right of Way (RoW)] as part of the prestigious Qiddiya Project. This role involves assisting the Design Manager in coordinating and overseeing design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of design processes for this transformative Vision 2030 project

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design Coordination:
    • Assist the Design Manager in managing and coordinating design activities across all disciplines for the ROJA/Package 1 [RoW].
    • Review design submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and Parsons’ quality requirements.
    • Facilitate communication between design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design-related issues.
  • Project Support:
    • Support the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, design programs, and progress reports.
    • Monitor design progress and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
    • Identify potential risks or delays in the design process and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct initial reviews of design deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to local regulations and international standards.
    • Support the Design Manager in implementing Parsons’ quality control processes for all design activities.
    • Ensure that all design activities align with the client’s vision and project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to address design-related queries and concerns.
    • Attend project meetings and provide updates on design progress, challenges, and resolutions.
    • Assist in managing client expectations and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of design documentation, approvals, and revisions.
    • Prepare regular reports on design progress, issues, and resolutions for internal and client review.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in design management, preferably on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or mixed-use projects.
  • Experience working on high-profile projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) and project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of design processes, construction methodologies, and local regulations.
