Assistant Corporate Counsel

Location: Remote

Ready to put your legal expertise to work in a fast-paced, people-first industry? We’re looking for qualified individuals with a strong focus on employment law and contract drafting and review.

At TNAA & TotalMed, we’re connecting nurses, surgical techs, and allied professionals with healthcare facilities nationwide. We’re looking for an Assistant Corporate Counsel to deliver practical, business-focused legal guidance that helps us grow while staying compliant and mitigating risk.

What You’ll Do

  • Support HR and leaders on employment law, workplace policies, and complex employee matters (30%).
  • Advise leadership & cross-functional teams with practical, business-minded legal support.
  • Draft and review contracts across staffing, vendors, and other legal areas (30%).
  • Research, analyze, and advise on a wide range of legal issues (20%).
  • Manage assigned matters—including discovery, outside counsel, and resolution strategies (10%).

  • Monitor and assess new regulations, recommending updates to policies and training (10%).

What We’re Looking For

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar admission in good standing (U.S.).

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • 1–3 years litigation experience, including labor and employment law.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with integrity, sound judgment, and business acumen.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of healthcare or staffing industry experience.

  • Prior in-house counsel experience.

  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks.

  • Licensed in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Experience supporting corporate transactions.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000/year
Final offer will be based on experience, expertise, and alignment with role requirements.
