Assistant Cost Estimation Executive

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support our Cost & Estimation Department specializing in kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, and related accessories. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations, and maintaining cost records while coordinating with design, sales, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimation Preparation

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, and accessories.
• Extract quantities from technical drawings and design layouts.
• Maintain and regularly update cost databases for frequently used materials and components.
• Support preparation of cost comparison sheets for alternative materials, finishes, or design options.

2. Quotation Support

• Coordinate with sales and design teams to verify project scope, specifications, and requirements prior to costing.
• Assist in preparing client quotations ensuring alignment with approved estimates and payment terms.
• Track, record, and maintain quotation history for pricing accuracy and procurement planning.

3. Cost Monitoring & Reporting

• Assist in monitoring project costs and identifying potential variances from initial estimates.
• Support preparation of cost reports and internal pricing updates.
• Document variation orders and evaluate revised cost impacts.

4. Technical Coordination

• Liaise with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure technical details are accurately reflected in estimates.
• Assist in reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure cost accuracy and feasibility.
• Support coordination during project revisions and design changes.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, approvals, and project correspondence.
• Ensure all cost-related documentation is professionally formatted and complies with company standards.
• Support audit and reporting requirements related to estimation and costing records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of joinery, cabinetry, or interior fit-out works preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools/software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in kitchen, wardrobe, or joinery estimation.
• Knowledge of material costing and supplier coordination.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
