Assistant Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Database Management

• Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL and related DB tools.
• Manage and optimize MySQL (5.5 to 8.3) and Percona Server.
• Ensure performance, availability, and security of databases.
• Utilize container tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Data Integrity & Security

• Implement user roles, permissions, and security protocols.
• Conduct security audits and backups regularly.
• Restore systems to ensure data protection.

Database Design & Development

• Design schemas, tables, procedures, and indexes.
• Optimize queries in collaboration with development teams.
• Create and test database recovery plans.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Resolve performance issues, errors, and bottlenecks.
• Provide maintenance and support to end-users and IT teams.

Linux & Python

• Administer Linux systems and troubleshoot related issues.
• Use Python for database automation and scripting.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience: 2–3 years in DBA or similar role.
• Certifications: DB or Linux certifications are a plus.

Key Skills

• MySQL & PostgreSQL administration
• Percona Server experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
