Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity (AOII) has been a pillar in the Fraternity/Sorority Life community since its founding date of January 2, 1897, at Barnard College. Since that date AOII has established chapters on over 200 college campuses across the United States and Canada and initiated more than 211,000 members. Why the Assistant Director of Digital Experience of AOII:

As the Assistant Director of Digital Experience for AOII, you will be a vital member in the Communications Department by creating strategy for and managing the Fraternity’s website, special project websites and collegiate/alumnae chapter websites, and other AOII initiatives and goals to foster a positive experience for all who engage with AOII online.


Reports to:

  • Director of Communications


Essential Duties or Functions:

  • Oversee regular website updates, including content changes, layout adjustments, and multimedia integration through WordPress
  • Perform routine website maintenance to ensure optimal site performance and accessibility across various devices and browsers
  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues of the website
  • Implement SEO best practices across site content
  • Work collaboratively with other Communications Department staff to analyze engagement of AOII website, social media sites and email marketing campaigns using analytics and tracking tools
  • Create project-specific microsites and web pages as needed
  • Work with the Director of Communications and Assistant Director of Graphic Design to ensure brand accuracy across sites
  • Publish AOII news content as provided on the AOII website blog
  • Work with collegiate officers and chapters as needed to provide coaching and strategies to improve their PR/Communications through regular web maintenance of their sites
  • Monitor AOII’s online presence through Google Analytics to track stories, etc., and ensures that the necessary parties are aware of posts as needed
  • Collaborate with and support other departments with web-based needs on other content management systems used by AOII
  • Manage the mobile app experience for AOII events
  • Manage and monitor AOII-controlled Facebook pages
  • Collaborate with the Communications team on public relations initiatives, strategic marketing initiatives, and other communications projects as assigned.
  • Serve on the Communications team to support AOII in any related duties required or requested by the Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director
  • Member of the Fraternity Communications Association (FCA)


Assistant Director of Digital Experience must be able to demonstrate:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language
  • Physical mobility and dexterity to transport files and operate general office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, computer, etc.)
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in WordPress
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Meta Analytics
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend functions as necessary
  • Must be able to travel as needed
  • Membership in a Fraternity/Sorority preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot or other email marketing software platforms preferred
  • Two to four years of relevant experience preferred


Working Conditions:

  • Office setting based in Brentwood, TN, remote work capable
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on the computer
  • Must be able to lift up-to 15 pounds at times


Salary Range:

  • $52,000 - $58,000
